Before your visit
Sicilian Whiskey: questions about your visit
Booking, arrival, food, weather and time with the crew. Details that depend on your date or group are checked before confirmation.
How much does an experience cost?
Prices are shown on each experience page. Factory tasting is €15.00 per person; aperitivo €30.00; forest walk €60.00; forest walk and dinner €120.00; dinner €60.00. Acorn Festival admission is free, with optional paid services.
How do I pay?
Send a request first. After availability is checked and your booking is confirmed, payment instructions are provided for online payment or payment at the venue.
When do experiences take place?
Factory tasting and aperitivo follow the Monday-Friday calendar, with at least four hours’ notice. Forest experiences and dinner are at weekends, with at least 24 hours’ notice. The festival has its own published dates.
Where do we meet?
Factory experiences: Via Domenico Tempio 46, Caltagirone. Forest walks: Santo Pietro Square, followed by travel in participants’ own cars. Dinner: Tenuta San Pietro. Follow the directions in your confirmation; transport is not included.
What activities can I choose?
Guided tasting, Sicilian aperitivo, accompanied forest walk with Century Oak cocktail stops, Sicilian dinner and the seasonal Acorn Festival. Each page explains the actual programme.
How many guests can join?
Factory tasting: 1-10. Aperitivo: 1-8. Forest walk, including the dinner combination: 2-8. Dinner alone: 2-100. Festival: 1-100. Remaining availability can be lower; these limits are not interchangeable.
Can I visit for a birthday or special occasion?
Choose an existing experience within its limits. Contact us for an exceptional date or organisational request; feasibility must be checked. Exclusivity or special arrangements are not automatically included.
Is accommodation included?
No. The website books experiences, not accommodation. Any stay is arranged separately with the accommodation provider.
What food is included?
Factory tasting includes almonds and Sicilian chocolate. Aperitivo includes one selected arancino and one cannolo per guest. Dinner has the published Sicilian menu. The simple forest walk includes two Century Oak cocktail stops, not dinner.
How long should I allow?
Factory tasting: 30 minutes. Aperitivo: two hours. Forest walk: three hours including stops. Dinner: 20:30-23:30. Forest and dinner: six hours of activity plus a seasonal interval. Add travel and arrival time.
Can children join?
Suitability depends on the experience and route. Tell us the ages before confirmation. Alcohol is served to adults only; arrangements and any different charges for minors must be checked.
Is the experience accessible?
Access differs between the factory, dinner venue and natural trails. Contact us about mobility needs before booking. A step-free forest route is not guaranteed; ask about current terrain, distance and elevation.
What should I bring?
For walks, suitable shoes, comfortable clothing, water and sun protection. Follow the final instructions in your confirmation.
What if it rains?
Outdoor activities require safe conditions. Changes or alternatives are agreed with the crew. Factory experiences are indoors but retain their weekday calendar: they are not automatic replacements for a weekend walk.
Can I change my date?
Request a change at least 36 hours ahead. A new date remains subject to availability. For a short-notice booking, ask how the published conditions apply before confirmation.
How can I cancel?
Cancel at least 36 hours ahead using the link in your confirmation or contact the distillery with your booking reference. The published booking terms apply.
Can I buy bottles?
Yes, where the experience lists this option. Purchase is optional and individual products are subject to availability.
Can a non-drinking companion join?
Tell us before confirmation. Possible alternatives and any different charges need to be checked; no separate non-alcoholic tasting is currently offered in the public catalogue.
Can I organise a private experience?
You can ask through the direct chat or contact page. This is a feasibility enquiry, not an already confirmed private package or reservation outside ordinary capacity.
How do I get current information?
Contact the distillery by phone, email or the direct chat. Experience pages and the booking calendar show the published programme and available sessions.
Do I need whiskey knowledge or a certificate?
No prior knowledge is needed for the guided tasting. It starts with the basics and leaves time for questions. It is not a certified course.
Can you accommodate food requirements?
Tell the crew before confirmation. Ingredients and feasible alternatives are checked directly; an allergen-free service is not guaranteed.
Can I visit in English?
Experiences and operational communication are available in Italian and English. State your preferred language when contacting the crew or in your booking notes.
